The HACAS Dance School was established in 2002 and offers children and young people in the community, the opportunity to learn dance, mainly street but also other popular dance forms.

Classes are held once a week, term time only and children are grouped according to age and experience in order to challenge and bring out the best of their abilities and to ensure they achieve maximum benefit from the teaching.

Learning dance enables children and young people to develop confidence and self-esteem. Children take these skills into the classroom and become better learners and often improve their academic progress.

Performances

Children and young people have the opportunity to showcase their work at a variety of local and cross-borough social and cultural events and festivals.

Past events include: Harrow’s Under One Sky summer events; Black History Month showcase events; charity events; school summer fairs and on one occasion, a selection of young people from HACAS Dance School performed alongside young people from another local organisation to a packed audience at the Wembley Conference Centre.

Have Fun & Stay Healthy

All children that attend the HACAS Dance School are encouraged to have fun and enjoy dance in a safe environment where the dance teachers and Dance School coordinators have been CRB checked. All child protection policies and Health and Safety policies are in place.

Dance Teachers

Dance is taught by very experienced, highly skilled tutors who are qualified choreographers and dance teachers and some of whom have worked with well known performers and dancers.
